SportsUSMNT midfielder Gio Reyna is in talks to join Ligue 1 side Strasbourg from Borussia Monchengladbach, according to sources briefed on the situation. The 23-year-old has been with Gladbach for just one season, making 19 Bundesliga appearances and scoring one goal. Reyna, son of USMNT legend Claudio Reyna, may be joining his fourth club in as many seasons. Strasbourg, owned by BlueCo (the consortium behind Chelsea), finished eighth in Ligue 1 last season. Reyna has struggled with injuries and playing time, logging just over 500 Bundesliga minutes in 2025-26. Despite limited club minutes, USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino brought him to the 2026 World Cup, where he scored a goal against Paraguay but played only 131 minutes across five games. Reyna was once considered the top US prospect but has been hampered by muscle injuries since his breakout 2020-21 season at Dortmund.
