PoliticsThe Metropolitan Police has confirmed it will take no further action against Green Party leader Zack Polanski after he reposted an Instagram collaboration containing an image of a man wearing a t-shirt with a guillotine and the lyrics 'we're only making plans for Nigel,' widely interpreted as targeting Nigel Farage. Polanski deleted the post after Reform UK reported it to police. Farage argued that a political leader sharing such imagery should face consequences. However, the Met Police stated the sharing did not meet the threshold for a criminal offence, acknowledging the context of increasing threats to politicians. Avon and Somerset Police, investigating the original wearing of the t-shirt in Bristol, also concluded no crime was committed, citing the satirical nature and lack of intent to threaten. The Green Party accused Reform of using the incident as a 'political football,' while Reform UK claimed it demonstrated 'two-tier Britain.'
