Dépor secured their third preseason friendly victory, keeping a clean sheet and scoring a very special goal for the club's new star. Aubameyang capitalized on a well-executed counterattack to net his first goal in the blue and white shirt.
Lugo applied strong pressure at the start of the match, preventing Dépor from playing out easily. Borja Fernández's side enjoyed a very good opening fifteen minutes, with Chiqui particularly active. Dépor, by contrast, was slow and lacked ideas.
Gradually, Dépor grew more comfortable and less sluggish. Lugo had a solid first half, creating several chances from outside the area, though their shots went wide. Dépor took the lead in the last minute of the first half through a transition led by Eddahchouri and finished by Aubameyang.
The second half belonged entirely to Dépor. They dominated the match, dictated the tempo, and reached Marc Martínez's area on several clear occasions. The clearest chance came when Nsongo, unmarked at the far post after a great cross from Kevin, shot wide. Nopubi also hit the post with a header. It was a total monologue from a Dépor side gradually developing the automatisms desired by Antonio Hidalgo. Lugo showed two halves: the first at a very good level, the second more defensive but without options to enter the rival area.
