SportsThe Ontime Butarque Stadium, home of CD Leganés, is being considered as a venue for Rayo Vallecano's matches after the Community of Madrid suspended activity at Vallecas Stadium due to serious safety and maintenance deficiencies. However, Leganés officials have stated to MARCA that as of July 30, 2026, they have not received any official communication regarding the possibility of hosting Rayo's games. All information currently comes from media reports. There is a precedent: last season, Rayo played against Atlético de Madrid at Butarque due to pitch problems at Vallecas. A potential drawback is that Butarque has exceeded 9,500 season ticket holders, leaving very limited ticket sales margin for Rayo's large fan base. Leganés has not ruled out discussing the matter if official contact is made.
