The trailer for Michael B. Jordan’s upcoming film, The Thomas Crown Affair, was unveiled by the makers on Thursday (July 30, 2026). The film marks Jordan’s second directorial venture after Creed III and features an ensemble cast including Adria Arjona, Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk and Aiysha Hart.

Trailer Highlights

The teaser trailer opens with visuals of Thomas Crown walking in a museum. He says:

“I have been taking risks all my life. But last night it was different. I felt alive.”

The trailer includes glimpses of Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic painting Sunflowers, which appears to be Crown’s much-loved prize across all his heists. He is then shown in a series of slick action sequences as he:

• Scales skyscrapers
• Engages in brawls
• Spends time with Arjona’s character during their romantic getaway

About the Film

The Thomas Crown Affair is the second American remake of the 1968 film starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. Another take on the film was released in 1999, directed by John McTiernan and featuring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo.

The film is based on a story and screenplay by Alan R. Trustman and has been written by Drew Pearce and Jason Hall.
