Stellantis, the multinational automaker behind Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, Chrysler, and Peugeot, reported a second-quarter net profit of 293 million euros ($335.3 million), reversing a loss of 1.87 billion euros from the same period last year. The turnaround was driven by rising demand in North America, showing early benefits from CEO Antonio Filosa's turnaround plan. Adjusted operating income more than tripled to 773 million euros, though it fell short of the Reuters analyst consensus estimate of 914 million euros. Despite the profit swing, Milan-listed shares dropped sharply, falling over 8% initially before paring losses to trade down about 5%. The results mark a significant recovery from the prior year's tariff-related losses.
