Hervé Koffi is poised for his third experience in Belgium, as Union Saint-Gilloise moves to secure a one-year loan for the Burkinabe goalkeeper. According to La DH this Wednesday evening, the club is seeking a successor to their first-choice goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen, who departed for Ipswich Town this week.
Koffi, 29, has previously played in Belgium on loan at Mouscron and on three separate occasions at Charleroi. He is expected to arrive in Brussels on Thursday.
The goalkeeper recently appeared in a friendly match for Lens against Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening. Lens had reacquired him just weeks after a highly successful loan spell at Angers.
