The 20-year-old left-back, who made 30 appearances and recorded 2 goals and 2 assists, has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Sunderland for a summer move, according to RMC.
However, Toulouse president Olivier Cloarec has confirmed that no deal is yet in place. Speaking on L'After this Wednesday, Cloarec provided an update on the negotiations:
"Dayann is one of the players highly sought after this summer. There are discussions with Sunderland, but Dayann also attracts interest from other clubs. We are talking with Sunderland, but there is no agreement yet. We have been discussing with Sunderland for three or four weeks, so the starting price has been set for three weeks or a month. Dayann, like Emersonn, is a player we absolutely count on for this year's project, with substantial contract lengths (2030 for Methalie). But the market means that when you reach a certain amount, not selling the player would be a management mistake."
The English club must now reach a formal agreement with Toulouse FC to complete the transfer.
