Pep Guardiola, through his Guardiola Sala Foundation, hosted 28 Palestinian children affected by the war in Gaza at his traditional summer camp in Rialp, Lleida, Spain. The camp, first held in 2017, features training sessions and talks by top footballers and coaches. The initiative began in January when a young Palestinian resident in Barcelona contacted organizers to fulfill the children's dream of meeting Guardiola, who is admired in Palestine for his stance on the Palestinian cause. The children joined regular camp activities, and the organizer described them as 'young masters,' symbolically giving them a 'key to Palestine' as a gift. Guardiola visited the camp, interacting with the children, as shown in videos on social media.

Pep Guardiola has launched his traditional summer camp, organized by the Guardiola Sala Foundation. The camp was first held in the summer of 2017 at the Hotel Montanyà facilities — the same location that 25 years earlier hosted pre-training sessions for FC Barcelona's Dream Team during their great European nights, led by the unforgettable Johan Cruyff and captained on the field by Pep Guardiola.
Alongside training sessions, the camp features talks delivered by top-level footballers, coaches, physical trainers, and nutritionists.
Palestinian Children Participate in the Camp
This year, the camp welcomed 28 Palestinian children affected by the war in the Gaza Strip. They were able to participate in training sessions and other activities alongside their fellow campers.
Guardiola: More Than a Coach
Pep himself visited the camp, where he shared moments with the children, smiling and interacting with them. Videos of these interactions have circulated on social media platforms such as X and were reported by the media outlet Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
According to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed on its website:
"The initiative began in January when a young Palestinian resident in Barcelona contacted the organizers, hoping to fulfill the dream of Palestinian children to meet Pep Guardiola, a coach greatly admired in Palestine for his clear and public stance on the Palestinian cause."
The children arrived in Catalonia to participate in the sixth edition of the 'Pep Summer Camp,' which takes place at the Hotel Condes del Pallars in Rialp (Lleida). They joined the regular activities as standard participants.

"These are the bosses, the young masters. That is, this was done by a special delegation from here in Rialp, a municipality in Lleida, and what they have done here is key for the city, just like when we give them the key to Palestine, the key to return. The same is here. This is a special gift," said the organizer.
