SportsMemphis Depay, the 32-year-old Dutch striker and all-time top scorer for the Netherlands national team, is reportedly close to extending his contract with Brazilian club Corinthians for two more years, until summer 2028. His current deal expires on July 31. After arriving in Brazil in September 2024 from Atlético Madrid, Depay has played 79 matches, scoring 20 goals and providing 15 assists. Despite interest from rivals Flamengo and Mexican side Tigres, and a contractual dispute over an unpaid bonus following the 2025 Campeonato Paulista title, negotiations have reportedly concluded positively. Depay, who missed 27 matches last season due to injury and played limited minutes at the 2026 World Cup, remains a key locker room leader for Corinthians.
