SportsThe Community of Madrid has revoked the stadium concession for Rayo Vallecano at Vallecas Stadium following an audit that revealed severe safety deficiencies, including issues with fire protection systems, electrical installations, emergency lighting, and widespread obsolescence. The regional government will urgently begin renovation works, provisionally suspending the club's concession. Rayo Vallecano will not be able to play at its stadium for the first months of the upcoming season, and an alternative venue is yet to be determined, though LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation guarantee competition continuity. The audit also cited poor hygienic-sanitary conditions, risk of legionella, and improper use of facilities. The club had previously played a match at Butarque stadium due to pitch problems.
