SportsLiverpool CEO Billy Hogan confirmed that Fenway Sports Group (FSG) remains in talks with a consortium led by British-Indian businessman Amit Bhatia for a strategic minority investment in the club. Bhatia, former QPR co-owner and son-in-law of steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, has reportedly approached Amazon founder Jeff Bezos about joining the consortium. The potential deal, still in preliminary stages, could involve a 30% stake and value Liverpool at £4.5bn. FSG previously sold a single-figure stake to Dynasty Equity in 2023. The update comes amid a period of transition for Liverpool, with new manager Andoni Iraola replacing Arne Slot and the departure of football chief Michael Edwards.
