After clearly defeating Crystal Palace (3-0) — now managed by their former coach Pierre Sage — earlier in the evening, RC Lens played a second 45-minute friendly match against Famalicao. This time, the French club could only manage a 0-0 draw.
For the record, a penalty shootout was held to determine a winner, which was won by the Portuguese side (8-7). Dino Toppmöller had completely changed his starting lineup. Only Bulatovic started both matches (he scored against the Eagles).
Lens' next friendly match is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, against Sunderland.
