FinanceSeven & i Holdings, the Japanese parent company of 7-Eleven, announced on July 27, 2026, that it has decided not to proceed with an investment in Poland's largest convenience store chain. The retailer had disclosed earlier in July that it was in talks regarding the potential investment. Although Seven & i did not name the target, Zabka, Poland's largest convenience store operator as of late 2025 according to the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, is widely believed to be the chain in question. The company stated that the two sides could not reach terms that would serve the best interests of shareholders and stakeholders. Seven & i reaffirmed that Europe remains an attractive growth opportunity and that it will continue seeking regional investments aligned with its strategy. 7-Eleven currently operates no stores in Poland, with its European presence concentrated in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
