SportsFrench Ligue 1 club RC Lens is in advanced negotiations with English Premier League side Brentford for the transfer of midfielder Mamadou Sangaré. The 24-year-old Malian international has been a revelation for Lens this season and is valued at approximately €48 million, which would make him the club's record sale, surpassing Lois Openda's €40 million transfer to Leipzig. Crystal Palace, managed by former Lens coach Pierre Sage, has also expressed interest and could potentially outbid Brentford. The deal is not yet finalized but is reportedly close to agreement. Sangaré previously played for Rapid Vienna before joining Lens.
