'Betty La Fea' Season 3 Rebranded as 'Uglier Than Ever', Premieres August 28 on Prime Video

Betty's back! Prime Video has confirmed the return date of the hit series, rebranded its title, revealed a change in how viewers will watch it, and dropped a video teaser ahead of the premiere.

Betty la Fea: The Story Continues is now rebranded Betty la Fea: Uglier Than Ever. Ana María Orozco steps back into one of Latin America's most recognizable roles in a new season that brings a wave of surprises at Ecomoda.

Season 3 premieres August 28, exclusively on Prime Video worldwide. Unlike prior seasons, this time the series drops all episodes at once, giving the franchise its first true binge release after two seasons of weekly rollouts.

The move underscores the platform's confidence in a series that has already proven its reach. The previous season became the top Colombian title on Prime Video in its first week of release in 2025, fueled by nostalgia from its original fans and a new generation of viewers.

A Nostalgic Return With New Stakes

The revival continues to lean into the emotional pull of the original novela while expanding its story for today's audience.

This season opens with Betty returning to Bogotá for Hugo Lombardi's (Julián Arango) farewell fashion show, a setting that brings old relationships back into focus. Her reunion with Armando (Jorge Enrique Abello) reignites unresolved tensions, while the reappearance of Michel, her French ex, sets up a new love triangle.

At the same time, the story pushes Betty into unfamiliar territory. She begins therapy, moves into her own apartment, and faces a corporate crisis at Ecomoda tied to a plagiarism scandal.

Longtime fans will also see the return of key characters, including El Cuartel de las Feas in full formation, along with El Francés and Román, played by Diego Cadavid, whose comeback was confirmed when the series was renewed.

The success of Betty la Fea: The Story Continues reflects a broader strategy at Amazon MGM Studios to invest in local storytelling with global appeal.

That approach has turned the sequel into one of Prime Video's strongest Latin American originals, building on a franchise that already held a Guinness World Record as the most successful telenovela in history.
