Shakira and Burna Boy score first joint No. 1 on UK Streaming Chart with World Cup anthem 'Dai Dai'

The World Cup may be over, but one of the tournament's biggest musical hits continues to perform strongly. Shakira's "Dai Dai," her collaboration with Burna Boy that served as the event's official anthem, remains one of the world's biggest songs.

The track is especially popular in the United Kingdom. This week, "Dai Dai" appears on four UK charts and sits inside the top two on every one of them. The collaboration has set new peaks across all four rankings and delivered both superstars their first No. 1 on one list.

Shakira and Burna Boy Reach No. 1 on the Streaming Chart

"Dai Dai" jumps from No. 5 to No. 1 on the Official Streaming Chart in its sixth week on the ranking. The chart measures how many times songs are streamed across the UK.

The milestone gives Shakira her first champion on the streaming-only tally. Before "Dai Dai," she had reached the top 40 with only two tracks:

• "La La La" (with Carlinhos Brown) – peaked at No. 31 more than a decade ago
• "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" (with Bizarrap) – reached No. 26 nearly 10 years later

Shakira had also sent "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" (with Freshlyground) and "Can't Remember to Forget You" (with Rihanna) to the Official Streaming Chart, peaking at Nos. 66 and 94, respectively.

Burna Boy Scores His First Streaming Leader

Burna Boy also collects his first No. 1 on the Official Streaming Chart, though he had previously broken into the top 10 several times.

His previous highest placement on the streaming tally was "Own It" (with Stormzy and Ed Sheeran), which peaked at No. 2 more than five years ago. His solo hit "Last Last" reached No. 4, while "Location" (with Dave), his first hit on the chart, climbed to No. 10.

Shakira and Burna Boy Soar to No. 2 on Three Charts

"Dai Dai" also rises to new peaks on the other three UK rankings where it currently appears, settling at No. 2 on:

• Official Singles Chart (most-consumed songs, blending streaming and purchases) – up from No. 5
• Official Singles Sales Chart – up from No. 4
• Official Singles Downloads Chart – up from No. 4

Shakira has previously topped both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. Burna Boy has yet to reach No. 1 on either purchase-focused roster, meaning "Dai Dai" could bring him two more career firsts if it advances by just one space.

Shakira's Previous World Cup Anthem Climbs

"Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," which served as a World Cup anthem years ago, appears on the same four rankings as "Dai Dai" this week. The Shakira and Freshlyground collaboration reaches new peaks on both UK sales charts:

• Official Singles Sales Chart – surges from No. 39 to No. 21
• Official Singles Downloads Chart – pushes from No. 36 to No. 20, reaching the top 20 for the first time

Shakira Holds Inside the Top 30

"Waka Waka" remains steady at No. 26 on the Official Singles Chart, just five spaces below its No. 21 peak. The track slips only slightly on the Official Streaming Chart, falling from No. 45 to No. 48.
