Athletic Club's captain Iñaki Williams has returned to training at Lezama after completing his three-week vacation following his participation in the 2026 World Cup with Ghana. He trained indoors on Monday and is expected to rejoin the group soon, potentially appearing in one of the week's friendlies. Athletic Club faces a busy week with a double commitment: a match against Racing de Santander in Laredo on Wednesday and a game against Burgos at El Plantío on Saturday. The match against Racing will be the first test against a team from the same category for coach Edin Terzic. Meanwhile, Mikel Vesga continues seeking a transfer, Álvaro Djaló missed training due to discomfort, Dani Vivian is recovering from injury, and Andoni Gorosabel withdrew early from the session.
