EntertainmentChristopher Nolan's epic film 'The Odyssey' has broken his previous box office record set by 'The Dark Knight'. The $250 million movie, filmed entirely on IMAX and starring a large ensemble cast including Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, and Matt Damon, recouped its budget in just three days. In its second domestic weekend, it earned $87 million, surpassing 'The Dark Knight's' $75.1 million. It now holds the second-best second weekend for an R-rated movie ever, behind 'Deadpool & Wolverine'. Globally, the film has made $639.6 million since its July 17 release, and it also set a new record for Nolan's best international opening weekend. Notably, the film achieved this success without being part of a major franchise, standing out in a summer of franchise fatigue.
