Manager Manuel Pellegrini's squad has two friendlies scheduled this week: against Olympique Lyonnais on Wednesday and Almería on Saturday. The team aims to use the week to deepen their preparation and integrate new additions.
Fidalgo Returns Ahead of Schedule
The main news is the return of Álvaro Fidalgo. The Asturian midfielder, who played in the World Cup with Mexico as a naturalized player, has brought forward his return after the holidays to join pre-season as soon as possible, as reported by MARCA. Similar to Antony when he joined the Germany training camp later, Fidalgo will first follow a personalized work plan until he reaches the same physical level as his teammates, who have already completed over two weeks of training and played three friendlies.
