FinanceAdvanced Micro Devices (AMD) announced a multi-billion-dollar strategic partnership with AI startup Anthropic on July 22, 2026, causing its stock to rise 1.45%. Under the agreement, Anthropic will deploy up to 2 gigawatts of AMD's MI450 AI accelerators starting in the first half of 2027, using AMD's Helios rack-scale platform. AMD also plans to invest up to $5 billion in Anthropic.
