OtherActive-duty U.S. Air Force airmen have until July 31 to submit their waist-to-height ratios via the myBodyComp system, but the service clarified that this measurement will not be scored in physical fitness assessments or affect fitness scores, test currency, or personnel actions. The requirement is described as a one-time biometric data collection to establish a baseline for the modernized Physical Fitness Readiness Program, which took effect July 1. The modernization aligns with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's push for stricter grooming and fitness standards across the military. Airmen who completed measurements during the diagnostic period (March 1 to June 30) do not need to reassess. Exemptions apply to those with full medical exemptions, pregnancy or postpartum exemptions, or those within 12 months of approved retirement or separation. Air Force Reserve members have until August 31 to comply.
