Real Betis midfielder Álvaro Fidalgo has advanced his return from post-World Cup holidays and traveled to the team's second pre-season training camp in Marbella. The Asturian, who played for Mexico in the World Cup as a naturalized player, will undergo a personalized training plan to catch up with teammates who have already trained for over two weeks and played three friendlies. Manager Manuel Pellegrini's squad has two friendlies scheduled: against Olympique Lyonnais on Wednesday and Almería on Saturday. Other notable updates include Isco continuing his individualized plan, Abde and Aitor Ruibal recovering from injuries, and young Ukrainian goalkeeper Yan Zhuravskyi joining the squad to replace the injured Diego Conde. World Cup participants Cucho and Lo Celso are expected to join in August.

Real Betis's first team departed for Marbella this Monday to begin their second pre-season training camp, following several days of work at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol. Manager Manuel Pellegrini's squad has two friendlies scheduled: against Olympique Lyonnais on Wednesday and Almería on Saturday. The week will be used to continue deepening their preparation and integrate new additions.
Fidalgo Returns Early
The main news is the return of Álvaro Fidalgo. The Asturian midfielder, who played in the World Cup with Mexico as a naturalized player, has brought forward his return after the holidays, as reported by MARCA. He will join the pre-season as soon as possible. Similar to Antony when he joined the Germany training camp later, Fidalgo will first follow a personalized work plan until he reaches the same physical rhythm as his teammates, who have already completed over two weeks of training and played three friendlies.
Injury Updates and Squad News
Isco, who has not featured in any of the three preparation matches, continues with his individualized plan and travels with the team to Marbella.
Players such as Nelson Deossa, Iker Losada, and Gonzalo Petit—whose futures remain uncertain—also remain in the group.
Abde joins the squad to continue advancing in his recovery and fine-tuning, after the injury he sustained with Morocco that ruled him out of the World Cup. Aitor Ruibal also travels, recovering from meniscus surgery he underwent immediately after LaLiga ended.
Youth Players and Goalkeeper Replacement
The youth players Manu González, Emmanuel, Gnangoro, Rica, Corralejo, and Morante are included, alongside regulars Ortiz and Pablo García. Joining them this time is 17-year-old Ukrainian goalkeeper Yan Zhuravskyi, who takes the place left by Diego Conde. Conde was injured last Saturday in the Trofeo Ciudad de Granada after a heavy collision with teammate Diego Llorente and will be sidelined for several weeks.
Cucho and Lo Celso, the last two World Cup participants, will gradually join the squad in August.
