SportsSevilla has selected Fran González, a 21-year-old goalkeeper from Real Madrid Castilla, to complete their goalkeeping trio alongside Odysseas Vlachodimos and Alberto Flores. The club is negotiating a shared ownership deal with Real Madrid, allowing González to gain top-flight minutes without permanently leaving Madrid. Standing at 1.99 meters, González is considered a high-potential youth academy product, currently third-choice behind Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin. He played 28 matches in the promotion phase to the Second Division last season, conceding 39 goals with three clean sheets, and made his La Liga debut two seasons ago in a 1-2 loss to Valencia. He is also a U-21 international. No definitive agreement has been reached, and other clubs including Espanyol, Celta, Racing, and several foreign teams have also shown interest.
