SportsVozinha, the 40-year-old Cape Verde goalkeeper who became a global sensation during the 2026 World Cup, is set to join Chilean powerhouse Colo Colo. Club president Anibal Mosa announced the signing on Friday, stating Vozinha will arrive in Chile in the coming days for medical exams before being presented at Monumental Stadium. Vozinha gained fame for heroic performances, including a 0-0 draw against eventual champions Spain and leading Cape Verde to the round of 16, where they pushed Argentina to extra time. He will transfer from Portuguese second division side GD Chaves. Remarkably, Vozinha signed his first professional contract at age 26 and has played in Cyprus, Slovakia, Moldova, and Angola. His World Cup exploits, amplified by Brazilian influencer Casimiro, skyrocketed his Instagram following from 50,000 to nearly 30 million.
