The series, created by real-life football agent Darren Dein, follows a fictional top football agent played by actor Damian Lewis. Ronaldo's former Premier League rival Thierry Henry will also make an appearance. The show is produced by UR•Marv Studios, co-founded by Ronaldo and director Matthew Vaughn, known for 'Kingsman' and 'Kick-Ass.' An industry insider expects a bidding war among major streaming platforms, noting the project's prestige and the growing international interest in British football post-World Cup, fueled by shows like 'Ted Lasso.' The series is described as a drama with comedic elements, not a sitcom. Ronaldo, who has over 1 billion social media followers, called this an exciting new chapter in his career.

Hupu, July 26 — According to an exclusive report by Rod McPhee, TV editor of The Sun, Portuguese legendary forward Cristiano Ronaldo will serve as a producer for a major British football-themed drama series and will also appear in the show.
Series Details
The series, titled Day 1s, has already begun filming. The 41-year-old Ronaldo will star in the series and act as an executive producer. A TV industry insider revealed that Ronaldo's former Premier League rival from Arsenal, 48-year-old Thierry Henry, will also make an appearance in the series.
The insider said: "This is likely to spark a bidding war among major streaming platforms. Given the caliber of the behind-the-scenes participants and the weight of the cast, this is a prestige project. Of course, for Ronaldo, it's also a surprising crossover into the world of series production."
Plot and Cast
The series tells a fictional story centered on a top football agent, Stanley Dalton, played by 55-year-old actor Damian Lewis, known for his roles in Homeland and Billions.
The report says the idea came from another executive producer of the series, real-life football agent Darren Dein. The 52-year-old Dein is Henry's agent.
The insider added: "After the World Cup, international interest in British football has reignited, especially in the US. This interest has been growing for a while, driven by works like Ted Lasso. But this series is not a sitcom. It's definitely a drama with some comedic elements, and it has some very important people backing it."
Production and Additional Cast
The series will be produced by the newly formed UR•Marv Studios, co-run by Ronaldo and renowned director Matthew Vaughn. In addition to Ronaldo, Henry, and Damian Lewis, British rapper Dave and newcomer actress Carlotta Banat will also appear. Henry was previously spotted participating in the first day of filming at Barnet FC's ground in northwest London.
Matthew Vaughn, who directed films like Kingsman and Kick-Ass, founded UR•Marv Studios earlier this year with the goal of breaking the "traditional" film production market model. At the time, Vaughn said: "Ronaldo has created stories on the pitch that I could never write, and I look forward to creating inspiring films with him."
Ronaldo's Comments
Ronaldo said: "For me, this is an exciting new chapter, and I look forward to starting a new career."
Background
Ronaldo has over 1 billion total followers on social media. The report notes that he scored three goals for Portugal in the World Cup and remains the captain of Saudi club Al Nassr. Ronaldo played for Manchester United twice, from 2003 to 2009 and from 2021 to 2022.
