SportsFacebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, with a net worth of £24.3 billion, has been approached by a consortium led by Amit Bhatia to invest in Liverpool FC. The consortium is reportedly seeking to purchase around a 30% stake in the club, which could be valued at $6 billion (£4.5 billion). If Saverin joins, he would become the third wealthiest owner in the Premier League, behind Newcastle's Saudi PIF and Manchester City's City Football Group. Saverin previously failed in a bid to buy Chelsea in 2022. Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool's majority owner since 2010, confirmed the consortium's interest in a strategic minority investment. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has also been mentioned as a potential investor in the same consortium.
