Icelandic striker Orri Óskarsson continued his impressive goal-scoring form for Real Sociedad, netting in his second consecutive preseason friendly against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 22-year-old scored from the edge of the box after going largely unnoticed in the first half, and was substituted at halftime along with other starters. This goal extends his remarkable streak to six goals in his last seven appearances for the txuriurdin, counting the final five matchdays of last LaLiga season and two preseason games. Last season, he scored 10 goals in 914 minutes; this preseason, he has 2 goals in just 90 minutes of play. The article highlights his efficiency and consistency, though notes the goals come in friendlies rather than official competition.

Orri Óskarsson has carried his recent goal-scoring form from Real Sociedad into England, scoring in his second consecutive friendly after playing just 90 minutes across both matches. The Icelander has now found the net in six of his last seven appearances for the txuriurdin side, combining the final games of last season with his preseason outings so far.
Óskarsson started against Wolverhampton, as he did a week earlier against Racing de Santander. In similar fashion, after going largely unnoticed, he capitalized on his first scoring opportunity — this time with greater merit, firing a shot from the edge of the box rather than tapping in a teammate's assist into an empty net.
The forward, like all other outfield starters, was substituted at halftime without making further impact on the match. While he will be pleased to have scored two goals in two preseason games, he is likely left wishing these were competitive fixtures rather than friendlies.
Extends a Spectacular Streak
Although his goals do not earn points in preseason, Óskarsson can take pride in the remarkable run he has sustained in the txuriurdin shirt. He has scored in six of his last seven matches, spanning the final five matchdays of last season's LaLiga and the two friendlies he has played this summer.
Before the break, he averaged nearly a goal per game, with 10 goals in 914 minutes. He now adds two more in just 90 minutes of preseason action.
