SportsArgentine international striker Angel Correa, a 2022 World Cup winner and former Atlético Madrid star, has left Mexican club Tigres UANL and signed with Argentine powerhouse River Plate. The 31-year-old spent ten seasons at Atlético Madrid, winning a La Liga title, Europa League, and UEFA Super Cup, before moving to Tigres in 2024. River Plate paid approximately €13 million to secure Correa's services until the end of 2029. Correa's move marks his return to his home country after a successful European career and a brief stint in Mexico, where he lost the CONCACAF Champions Cup final to Toluca in May.
