Icelandic striker Orri Óskarsson continued his impressive goal-scoring form for Real Sociedad, netting in his second consecutive preseason friendly against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The goal, a well-taken shot from outside the box, extends his remarkable streak to six goals in his last seven matches wearing the txuriurdin shirt, including the final five matchdays of last season's LaLiga. Óskarsson, who was substituted at halftime along with other starters, has now scored 12 goals in 1,004 minutes across last season and this preseason. While the goals come in friendlies and do not earn points, the article highlights his consistent finishing ability and growing importance to the team.

Orri Óskarsson continued his impressive goal-scoring form in England, finding the net in his second consecutive friendly for Real Sociedad. The Icelandic striker has now scored in six of his last seven matches wearing the txuriurdin shirt, including the final games of last season and his preseason appearances so far.
Óskarsson started against Wolverhampton, as he did a week earlier against Racing de Santander. After going largely unnoticed for much of the match, he capitalized on his first opportunity to score — this time with greater merit, firing a shot from outside the box rather than tapping into an empty net from a teammate's assist.
The Icelander, like the other outfield players who started, was substituted at halftime without making any further impact on the match. While he will be pleased to have scored two goals in two preseason games, he is likely lamenting that these are friendlies rather than official competition.
Extends a Spectacular Streak
Although his goals do not earn points, Óskarsson can take pride in the spectacular streak he has maintained lately. He has celebrated a goal in six of his last seven matches, spanning:
- The final five matchdays of last season's LaLiga
- The two preseason games he has participated in this summer
Before the summer break, his average was nearly a goal per game, with 10 goals in 914 minutes. He now has two goals in 90 minutes of preseason action.
