SportsFC Bayern Munich's Sports Director Christoph Freund announced a breakthrough in negotiations to permanently sign 18-year-old midfield prospect Bara Sapoko Ndiaye. Ndiaye, who was on loan from Gambian academy Gambinos Stars Africa during the second half of last season, impressed with four Bundesliga appearances and earned the support of coach Vincent Kompany. The transfer had been delayed due to rising market value after Ndiaye's nomination for Senegal's World Cup squad, now estimated at €4 million. Freund stated that final details remain but expects Ndiaye to undergo performance tests on Monday and join the training camp at Lake Tegernsee. The permanent signing is seen as a key move for Kompany's squad planning.
