FinanceTKMS and Navantia have signed a second Memorandum of Understanding, advancing their strategic submarine partnership launched earlier this year. The companies aim to establish a joint collaboration framework by the end of 2026 for the production and commercialization of selected submarine projects. The partnership focuses on combining complementary expertise to expand industrial capacity, enhance delivery timelines, and foster long-term technological cooperation. It is designed exclusively for future opportunities and does not involve any merger or acquisition of shares or assets. Existing contracts and programs of both companies remain independent. The cooperation will comply with competition law and export-control regulations. Executives from both firms emphasized that the partnership strengthens Europe's defense industrial base and strategic autonomy, enabling them to deliver cutting-edge submarine solutions to allies and partner navies.
