Sri Aurobindo Society on Saturday released its documentary titled Wonders of Nature Around Us, a collection of short films showcasing hidden behaviours and quiet marvels of plants and animals found in natural surroundings.

The first six films were released online at an event attended by eco-activist and recipient of the Nari Shakti Puraskar, Deepika Kundaji, at MatriNiketan here.

Set in backyards, balconies, streets, and neighbourhoods across India, the film captures the survival instincts of inhabitants around us. From the astonishing dive of a kingfisher to the hidden geometry in a leaf, the documentary uncovers the science and wonders in the natural world.

The Society has collaborated with AuroVanam, Svarnim, AuroMedia, and Evanescence for the production of the documentary, the Society said in a release.
