Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, 41, announces retirement after 22-year career

Hupu, July 25th – Polish goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański has announced his official retirement from professional football via personal social media, bringing an end to a 22-year playing career.

Now 41 years old, Fabiański began his senior career in 2004. He played for clubs including Lech Poznań, Legia Warsaw, Arsenal, Swansea City, and West Ham United, making a total of 516 club appearances:

• West Ham United: 216 appearances
• Swansea City: 150 appearances
• Arsenal: 78 appearances

• UEFA Europa Conference League trophy (West Ham United, 2022–23 season)

International Career

Fabiański earned 57 caps for the Polish national team, representing his country at two World Cups and three European Championships. He ended his international career in 2021.

At club level, he played 376 Premier League matches, making him the Polish player with the most appearances in Premier League history.
