WNBA All-Star 2026 kicks off July 24 with new KIA Shooting Stars competition

The 2026 WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, IL has become one of the most anticipated events on the women’s sports calendar, bringing together the league’s biggest stars, rising talent, brand partners, and a growing global audience. Major brand activations include AT&T's Pioneer Court fan experience.

As fans prepare to watch the festivities, here is everything to know about the schedule, events, broadcast information, and how to stream every moment.

WNBA All-Star Shooting Stars

The new KIA Shooting Stars WNBA All-Star competition premieres on July 24 at 8 p.m. ET.

This year, instead of a traditional skills challenge, the WNBA is debuting the Shooting Stars four-team contest. The four teams will be anchored by WNBA alumni and legends:

• Elena Delle Donne – Two-time Kia WNBA MVP and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026 member
• Lauren Jackson – Three-time Kia WNBA MVP and Naismith Hall of Famer
• Rebekkah Brunson – Five-time WNBA champion
• Deanna "Tweety" Nolan – Three-time WNBA champion

The Kia WNBA Shooting Stars will feature four teams representing the WNBA’s Minnesota, Seattle, Washington, and Dallas/Detroit markets.

Joining the WNBA legends are 2026 WNBA All-Stars:

• Jessica Shepard – Dallas Wings
• Courtney Williams – Minnesota Lynx
• Shakira Austin – Washington Mystics (2022 All-Rookie Team selection)
• Flau'jae Johnson – Seattle Storm (standout 2026 rookie)

Each team will also include a standout high school player from the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL):

• Jezelle "GG" Banks
• Ryan Carter
• Tatianna Griffin
• Morghan Reckley

Competition Format

The Kia WNBA Shooting Stars is a two-round, timed shooting competition. Teams have 70 seconds to score as many points as possible from seven shooting locations around the court. The two teams with the highest scores in the opening round advance to the championship round.

Broadcast Information

The Kia WNBA Shooting Stars and Three-Point Contest will be broadcast from Wintrust Arena (home of the Chicago Sky) on Friday, July 24 at 8 p.m. ET. The contest will air on ESPN and be available on fubo, Disney+, and the ESPN App.

WNBA All-Star Three-Point Contest

The WNBA All-Star Three-Point Contest made news this week as Caitlin Clark, Kayla McBride, and reigning champion Sabrina Ionescu were reported to have declined the offer to participate. However, Ionescu has since called out the claim as inaccurate, indicating she was never invited to participate.

Despite their absence, the field includes other sharp shooters:

• Rhyne Howard – Atlanta Dream
• Mabrina Mabrey – Toronto Tempo
• Bridget Carleton – Portland Fire
• Janelle Salaün – Golden State Valkyries
• Natasha Hiedman – Seattle Storm

Fan favorite and No. 1 rookie draft pick Azzi Fudd of the Dallas Wings will also compete for the first time.

WNBA All-Star Game

On Saturday, July 25 at 8:30 p.m. ET, the two All-Star teams will face off. The game will air on ABC and stream on ESPN, fubo, and the ESPN App.

The teams are led by general managers and WNBA legends Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon. The contest will take place at United Center, a significant upgrade for the WNBA All-Star Game.
