FinanceTKMS and Navantia have signed a second Memorandum of Understanding, advancing their strategic submarine partnership launched earlier in 2026. The agreement aims to establish a joint collaboration framework for the production and commercialization of selected submarine projects by the end of the year, pending regulatory approvals. The partnership is designed exclusively for future opportunities and does not involve any merger or acquisition of shares or assets. Existing contracts and programs of both companies remain independent. The cooperation combines complementary expertise to expand industrial capacity, enhance delivery timelines, and strengthen Europe's defense industrial base and strategic autonomy. Key executives from both companies emphasized the commitment to technological leadership, design authority, and customer supply capabilities while operating independently.
