FC Andorra continued their preseason preparations with a commanding 5-2 victory over Inter Club Escaldes in a friendly derby at the Estadi Comunal. The match drew a notable crowd, including familiar faces such as Gerard Piqué, Mauricio Pochettino, and Carles Puyol.
The hosts, playing entirely in red, dominated from the outset in their third preseason friendly. Carles Manso fielded a recognizable starting eleven that quickly took control:
- Calvo opened the scoring just before the 15-minute mark.
- Uzkudun doubled the lead half an hour in.
Inter Club Escaldes, the reigning champions of Andorra's Primera División, fought back after the break and leveled the match at 2-2. However, their resurgence was short-lived. Arón Rodrigo, who had just been substituted on, restored FC Andorra's lead just two minutes after the equalizer.
In the final stages, Hugo Solozábal and Nacho Quintana sealed the rout, putting the result beyond doubt.
