Spain coach De la Fuente: Argentina's post-match behavior unacceptable, Spanish players showed more class

He specifically pointed out that several Argentine players and coaching staff members acted improperly after the match. According to EFE news agency, FIFA will launch a disciplinary investigation into the matter to assess whether the behavior complies with sportsmanship standards.

De la Fuente stated:

"I was celebrating the victory at the time and didn't immediately realize what had happened. But in any case, this kind of behavior is intolerable and unacceptable. Players of their caliber, along with a very excellent head coach—I believe he must be just as disappointed as we are when he sees these reactions. We cannot allow such things to happen."

He also emphasized Spain's restraint and professionalism:

Discussing the difficulties of the tournament, de la Fuente highlighted the arduous journey:

"Apart from our opponents, all these factors are difficulties we must overcome."

Regarding individual awards, de la Fuente highly praised Rodri, calling him "the best player in the world in his position," despite his recent return from a serious knee injury.

"Questioning Rodri is an insult to football intelligence. He is the best in the world in his position. And we have Zubimendi, who is probably the second best."

He noted that Rodri improved throughout the tournament, even joking:

"I told him that even if he only performs at 50% of his ability, he is still better than many players."
