Future's 'The Real Me' Debuts at No. 1 on Top Streaming Albums, Surpassing Taylor Swift and Drake

Future is back at No. 1 on multiple Billboard albums charts this week with his latest release, The Real Me. The hip-hop superstar's new set conquers several rankings, driven largely by a massive first-week streaming performance: its 22 songs accumulated more than 120 million plays on streaming platforms in just seven days.

At this stage in his career, every new chart-topper helps Future advance on historic lists, as he has collected No. 1 albums at a pace few musicians have matched. The Real Me returns him to the summit of the chart dedicated exclusively to streaming activity in the United States, and in doing so, he breaks a tie with two of the biggest names in the music industry.

Future Debuts at No. 1 on the Streaming Albums Chart

The Real Me opens at No. 1 on this week's Top Streaming Albums chart. The ranking — introduced less than five years ago — tracks the most-streamed projects in the U.S.

Future has now earned four No. 1 albums on this chart. His first three all reached the summit during 2024, an especially productive stretch for the rapper:

• April 2024: We Don't Trust You and We Still Don't Trust You, his collaborative projects with producer Metro Boomin, hit No. 1 within weeks of each other.
• October 2024: Mixtape Pluto also topped the chart.

Each of Future's four champions has so far spent a single week in first place.

Future Passes Taylor Swift and Drake

Before The Real Me arrived, Future was tied with Taylor Swift and Drake for the most No. 1s in the history of the Top Streaming Albums chart. All three artists had three leaders apiece, but Future now moves ahead on his own.

Taylor Swift became the first artist to score three champions on the roster:

• 1989 (Taylor's Version) reached the summit in November 2023.
• The Tortured Poets Department ruled for 11 weeks in 2024, making it the second-longest-running No. 1 in the chart's history.
• The Life of a Showgirl opened at No. 1 last fall and remained there for seven weeks.

Drake is the only other act with three Top Streaming Albums leaders:

• For All the Dogs earned his first No. 1 in November 2023.
• Some Sexy Songs 4 U, his collaborative effort with PartyNextDoor, returned him to the top in March 2025.
• Iceman launched at the summit less than two months ago.

Future Leads a Small Group of Repeat Champions

Only four other artists have scored more than one No. 1 on the Top Streaming Albums chart: Bad Bunny, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, and Zach Bryan.

Future has placed five titles on the ranking, and all but one have reached No. 1. I Never Liked You remains his only entry that failed to top the chart — it debuted at No. 50 (the lowest position on the tally) in September 2024 and never climbed higher.

We Don't Trust You Remains Future's Longest-Charting Set

Among Future's five appearances on the Top Streaming Albums chart, We Don't Trust You is by far his longest-running success. The Metro Boomin collaboration has spent 48 weeks somewhere on the list. None of Future's other four entries have managed double-digit stays. In fact, We Don't Trust You has spent more than twice as long on the roster as all of his remaining studio albums combined.

Future Rules Four Billboard Charts This Week

The Real Me debuts on six Billboard rankings this week and opens at No. 1 on four of them. In addition to the Top Streaming Albums chart, the collection tops the:

• Billboard 200
• Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums
• Top Rap Albums

The project becomes Future's 12th leader on the Billboard 200. He has been even more dominant on the two genre-specific rosters: The Real Me gives him a 17th career No. 1 on both the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts simultaneously.
