SportsPatson Daka, the 27-year-old Zambian striker, made an immediate impact for Hamburger SV (HSV) during his first training session in Längenfeld, Austria, scoring twice within 15 minutes. Daka arrived at the team hotel late Tuesday evening and signed a contract until 2027 with a one-year option, joining on a free transfer after his contract with Leicester City ended. Despite travel fatigue, he appeared fresh and agile, quickly bonding with teammates Yussuf Poulsen and Albert Grønbaek. Sporting director Claus Costa praised Daka as reflective, grounded, and ambitious. The forward, who scored 29 goals in 165 appearances for Leicester, fits HSV's profile after Ransford Königsdörffer's departure. He is not yet at full fitness, having last played in early May, and spent part of the session with a rehab coach. Privately, Daka recently became a father for the second time, and the club is working to bring his family to Hamburg.
