RC Lens has officially loaned Swedish winger Jeremy Agbonifo (20) to Polish club Jagiellonia Bialystok for the entire 2025-26 season, with a €3 million purchase option included. Agbonifo, who joined Lens from Häcken for €7.5 million in 2025, has struggled to establish himself, making only eight appearances. Last season, he was loaned to Basel (Switzerland) and then back to Häcken (Sweden). Still under contract with Lens until 2028, the move is part of the club's squad trimming efforts as he is not in sporting director Jean-Louis Leca's plans.
Source report
It is now official: Jeremy Agbonifo will be loaned out again this season. After two stints away from Lens during the last campaign, the young Swedish winger (20 years old) will discover a new league — that of Poland.
The club from Artois announced this Tuesday morning the loan of its player to Jagiellonia Bialystok, third-place finishers last year, for the entire season. This agreement includes a purchase option of €3 million.
Previous Loan Stints
Last year, the Blood and Gold first loaned him to:
- Basel (Switzerland) — from August to February
- Häcken (Sweden) — from February to June, the club from which Lens had recruited him for €7.5 million
Current Status
Agbonifo, still under contract until 2028, has never managed to establish himself at the club, having only played eight matches since his arrival in 2025. Not in the plans of sporting director Jean-Louis Leca and his teams, the Swede helps trim the squad.
