Ramp has launched stablecoin accounts and payments for all its customers, allowing businesses to hold, send, and receive both fiat dollars and stablecoins like USDC and USDT on a single platform. The feature settles on the Solana blockchain, chosen for its speed and low transaction costs. Previously, stablecoin payments required separate wallets and manual reconciliation, consuming disproportionate accounts payable time. Ramp integrates stablecoins into existing business workflows, including approval chains and accounting systems. The service supports deposits across seven blockchain networks. Over 150 businesses, including non-crypto entities like farms and churches, adopted the feature during beta. Ramp built the capability in partnership with Stripe, using its Bridge and Privy infrastructure for issuance and wallets.

Ramp has made stablecoin accounts and payments available to all its customers, offering businesses a single platform to hold, send, and receive both traditional dollars and stablecoins such as USDC and USDT.
Previously, most finance teams treated stablecoin payments as a separate operational burden, requiring a different wallet, lacking approval controls, and demanding hours of manual reconciliation. One Ramp beta customer reported that while stablecoin payments accounted for just 10% of vendor payments, they consumed half of their accounts payable team's time.
Ramp's solution integrates stablecoins directly into the same system businesses already use for cards, bills, and accounting. A payment settling in USDC follows the same approval chain as one settling in dollars.
"Businesses shouldn't need a second financial system just because a payment settles on different rails," said Andrew Chapello, Stablecoin Product Manager at Ramp.
How It Works
- Businesses can hold stablecoin balances and earn rewards on them.
- Payments to vendors or employees can be made directly from a stablecoin account, a checking account, or a linked bank account — without requiring pre-funding.
- Every transaction syncs automatically into the company's existing accounting system, with the same categorization and audit trail as a regular payment.
Stablecoin deposits are supported across seven blockchain networks, including Solana, a high-performance blockchain known for its speed and low transaction costs. Solana has increasingly become a preferred settlement layer for stablecoin activity, and its inclusion reflects a broader trend of payment platforms building directly on top of it.
During Ramp's public beta, more than 150 businesses adopted stablecoin accounts, spanning far beyond crypto-native companies. Adopters included a farming business and a church managing donations.
Ramp built the feature in partnership with Stripe, whose Bridge and Privy infrastructure powers the stablecoin issuance and wallets behind the scenes. Stablecoin accounts and payments are now available to all Ramp customers.
