Eintracht Frankfurt's new Bundesliga away jersey, featuring a retro design with the club's old crest from the 1980s and 1990s, has caused a massive rush among fans. The jersey, unveiled on July 23, 2026, is entirely white with black accents and a retro Adidas logo. The return of the old eagle crest, associated with the club's greatest successes including the 1980 UEFA Cup and DFB-Pokal titles in 1981 and 1988, has generated huge excitement. The online fan shop crashed seconds after sales started due to overwhelming demand, forcing the stadium shop to extend its hours. Club icon Jay-Jay Okocha appears in the promotional video, celebrating the design. Despite the high price of 100 euros for adults (80 for members), fans are eager to purchase the jersey. Defender Robin Koch expressed the team's honor in wearing the crest and their desire to create new memories.

Frankfurt – This jersey is causing a massive rush. On the pitch, Eintracht Frankfurt fans had little to cheer about last season. That is set to change in the new season. One thing is already clear: At least visually, fans will be very pleased with their stars. The away jersey unveiled on Thursday is generating huge excitement among the Eintracht community — also because, following coach Adi Hütter (56), a second return is now being celebrated.
Eintracht Presents New Bundesliga Away Jersey
The Eintracht stars will play away games entirely in white. The crest, sponsors, numbers, and appliqués on the sleeves and collar are in black. Even the logo of equipment supplier Adidas appears in a retro style. And most importantly for many fans: The old Eintracht logo (early 80s to late 90s) is making its comeback.
What makes this so special: The club celebrated some of its greatest successes with this crest, including:
- Winning the UEFA Cup in 1980
- DFB-Pokal titles in 1981 and 1988
"I was allowed to wear this special eagle during that time. We played the best and most attractive football in Germany back then – football 2000. With a great team and a strong spirit. I wish the team the same this season – with and in an incredibly beautiful away jersey."
Club icon Jay-Jay Okocha (52) also celebrates the new shirt. The former offensive star (1991 to 1996 in Frankfurt) appears in the club's promotional video, where he asks fans: "Is it a comeback if it never went away?" — a nod to Frankfurt's deep connection to its own history.

Frankfurt Website Crashes – Fan Shop Stays Open Longer
Fans had been eagerly awaiting the new shirt for months, and the rush is enormous. So much so that the online fan shop on the club website crashed for many fans just seconds after sales started. The fan shop at the stadium therefore stayed open longer on Thursday. Everyone is eager for the retro jersey — and the proud price of €100 for adults (€80 for members) and €75 for children (€60 for members) does nothing to dampen demand.
"For us players, it is an honor to wear this crest. It reminds us of what came before us – and what we are allowed and want to continue. We want to create memories for eternity with this jersey."
Robin Koch (29), the defensive chief, and his colleagues now aim to ensure on the pitch that Eintracht Frankfurt can also celebrate successes in the present with the retro crest.
