Moroccan winger Abde was absent as he rejoined the group only yesterday after extended vacation due to World Cup injury recovery. Goalkeeper Diego Conde, the club's latest signing on loan from Villarreal, trained for the second consecutive day. Isco Alarcón, who missed recent sessions for personal reasons, could see his first preseason minutes. Sporting director Manu Fajardo observed training while continuing squad-building efforts. Several players with uncertain futures, including Nelson Deossa (negotiating transfer to Vasco da Gama), Iker Losada, and Gonzalo Petit, were present. The youth player list has been reduced, with several young talents retained. Betis will travel to Huelva for the friendly before continuing preseason in Seville and later Marbella.

Real Betis held their second training session of the week this morning, behind closed doors at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol. Under the orders of Rubén Cousillas—with Manuel Pellegrini still absent for personal reasons—the green-and-whites finalized preparations for their second preseason test: the Trofeo Colombino against Recreativo de Huelva, to be played tomorrow.
The session featured one significant but expected absence: Moroccan winger Abde.
Abde Rests; Diego Conde and Isco Present
Abde rejoined the group yesterday after enjoying extra days of vacation due to his time with the national team before the injury that ruled him out of the World Cup. He will need several days to reach full fitness, similar to Antony's situation in Germany.
The latest Betis signing, Madrid-born goalkeeper Diego Conde, was present for the second consecutive day. Isco Alarcón, who missed the last two days of preparation in Germany for personal reasons, also trained and could see his first preseason minutes tomorrow in Huelva.
Players with Uncertain Futures
Several players with unresolved transfer situations were also on the pitch:
- Nelson Deossa – His move to Vasco da Gama remains under negotiation due to bureaucratic issues at the Brazilian club.
- Iker Losada – Has offers to leave.
- Gonzalo Petit – His future remains open.
Sporting director Manu Fajardo observed the session from the sideline, speaking with members of the coaching and medical staff while continuing work on squad shaping.
Youth Players and Next Steps
The large group of youth players who traveled to the first training camp in early July has been reduced since returning to Seville. Those still with the first team include:
- Manu González and Morante (returned after U21 European Championship duty)
- Emmanuel, Rica, Bouaré, Corralejo, and Borja Alonso
- Ángel Ortiz and Pablo García (part of the first-team dynamic since last season)
Betis will travel to Huelva tomorrow for the friendly before continuing preseason in Seville. Next week, the squad will hold a new training camp in Marbella, with two additional matches scheduled.
