FinanceA.Gain, the co-owners of Premier League side Leeds United, have purchased a majority stake in Spanish third-tier club Real Zaragoza, expanding their multi-club ownership model. The group, formerly known as IDC Sports and Entertainment, already holds a minority share in Leeds United and a controlling stake in Colombian side Deportivo Cali, as well as a minority investment in Atletico Madrid. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval. Real Zaragoza, which was relegated to the third division for the first time since 1949 last season, has a notable history including a Copa del Rey win in 2004. Former Manchester United player Ander Herrera holds a 40% minority stake in the club alongside Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas. A.Gain's managing director Bobby Aitkenhead emphasized the club's strong foundations and loyal fan base as key investment criteria.
