Diego González completes first training with Real Zaragoza, becomes 28th player

Diego González, announced this Tuesday as Real Zaragoza's twelfth signing for the Primera RFEF project, completed his first session as a Zaragoza player. This marked his second session under head coach Ibai Gómez, following the start of preseason work on Monday. The new center-back is now at the Basque coach's disposal.

The training session was shorter than Monday's due to an afternoon session scheduled for later in the day. No further developments emerged, with González becoming the 28th player under the coach's orders. A date for his official presentation has not yet been set, but it is expected to take place in the coming days alongside those of Peter Ademo, Hansson, Westerveld, and Espiau.

Absent Players

The following players were not present in the session:

• Peter Ademo: Remains in Nigeria handling bureaucratic procedures.
• Samed Bazdar: Expected to return on Thursday after an extra week off, having finished the season later due to playing in the World Cup with Bosnia until July 2.

The departure of the Bosnian international is considered inevitable and will be finalized over the summer, despite Zaragoza having already rejected several offers for him.

Squad Overview

Of the 28 players under Ibai Gómez's command, 21 — including the newly arrived Diego González — are from the first team. The remaining players from Aragón are:

• Outfield players: Diego Monzón, Tobajas, Agustín Kahl, Sánchez Rubio, Peregrina, and Laken

Francho and Tachi, recently recovered from respective knee injuries, did not complete the session. They will follow a progressive integration program with the group in the coming days, although they are currently performing most of the work.
