Andie Dikosavljevic wins triple crown at PPA Australia Melbourne event

The Professional Pickleball Association Australia Tour held the 5th event of its 2026 season last weekend in Melbourne, with all the regular Australia-based pros who weren’t on MLP duty in action.

Let’s do a quick recap of the results, highlighting the winners, the upsets, and the top players who made waves.

Men’s Pro Singles Recap

As with the PPA Wellington event, Harrison Brown took the singles title to secure a double for the weekend. In the final, he topped fellow Australia pro Sahil Dang.

Women’s Pro Singles Recap

Andie Dikosavljevic continued her dominance on the PPA Australia circuit, beating Mihika Yadov in the final. Dikosavljevic has now won the Women’s pro singles title in nine (9) of the 15 PPA Australia events ever held.

Mixed Pro Doubles Recap

Andie Dikosavljevic teamed up with Zachary Grabovic to claim the Mixed title and officially be named the most difficult doubles team to spell in the world.

Men’s Pro Doubles Recap

The gold medal match in Men’s doubles was a rematch of the PPA Wellington event a month ago, with Harrison Brown & Lucas Pascoe once again topping Mitchell Hargreaves & Zachary Grabovic for the title. The bronze medalist team included a familiar name to pro pickleball historians; Joey Farias, who is now a regular on the Australian circuit, was one of the original pros in the US, winning medals at the US Opens in the late teens, the early PPA events and the early APP events before relocating Down Under.

Women’s Pro Doubles Recap

Sarah Burr won her 2nd gold of the season, teaming with veteran Andie Dikosavljevic to win. Dikosavljevic, who is more well known for her Singles acumen, wins her second career Women’s Doubles title, while Burr gets her second in two months.

With this title, Dikosavljevic secured a triple crown for the event. It is just the second ever triple crown on the burgeoning PPA Australian Tour.

Next up for the PPA International tours? According to my Master Pickleball Schedule, the next event for PPA Australia is in Mid August at the 2026 PPA Gold Coast Open. The week prior is the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Open for the PPA Asia tour, meaning we may see some double-dipping of events from some players, especially those whose MLP teams miss the playoffs.
