SportsChelsea are set to announce the £34 million signing of Argentina international Valentin Barco from Strasbourg, according to reports. The 22-year-old midfielder was part of the Argentina squad that reached the World Cup final, though he played only 19 minutes in the tournament. During the semi-final victory over England, Barco had a heated confrontation with Jude Bellingham after celebrating Argentina's goal, with Bellingham clipping him around the head and shoving him. The transfer was agreed in May, and the formal announcement is expected soon. Barco will join Chelsea's summer signings Geovany Quenda and Marco Palestra, as the club also secured a £117m deal for Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers.
