Spain beats Argentina 1-0 in 2026 World Cup final; Dani Olmo's girlfriend Laura Abla cries in stands

She celebrates HER world champion! Spain crowned itself world champion in the final in New Jersey, defeating defending champions Argentina and superstar Lionel Messi (39) – 1-0 after extra time. It marks Spain's second World Cup title in their second World Cup final appearance, and the first for Dani Olmo (28) – whose girlfriend Laura "Abla" Schmitt (27) let her emotions run free after the triumph.

After a long, hard-fought match, substitute Ferran Torres (26) scored the winning goal in extra time to secure the world championship for Spain. In the stands once again: German influencer Laura Schmitt. The partner of Spain star Dani Olmo proudly posted a video after the win. While Olmo celebrated on the pitch with his teammates, Laura was seen with tears streaming down her face. She captioned the post: "Crybaby." In an image caption, she added: "Suddenly my roommate is world champion?????"

Laura Abla Celebrates Spain's World Cup Title

Laura Schmitt – known to her 500,000 followers as Laura Abla – had regularly cheered Olmo on from the stadium during the World Cup. She continually delighted her fans with her extraordinary outfits. The German model was reported on worldwide during the tournament, and fashion pages have already voted her the best-dressed WAG.

But above all, she impressed with her unwavering support for her partner. She said about it:

"This summer I'm not focusing on myself. My job is to support my partner. I want to look good doing it, but the most important thing is the support."

She added:

"I canceled such great jobs and shoots. Even once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Because I simply wanted to be there for my partner."

Now, the crowning moment of her World Cup fairytale! After the win, Schmitt shared not only the emotional video but also a photo with Olmo – with the World Cup trophy in his hands. He lovingly kisses his biggest supporter on the forehead. She wears faded jeans and an extraordinary Spain jacket in a "used look" – and is beaming from ear to ear.

After the final, however, there was hardly any time to celebrate. On Tuesday at 7 a.m., the next shoot is scheduled in Milan. But a vacation is already booked. In her podcast "Ziemlich beste Fremde," she said:

"We've already booked a vacation. Last year we were on the Amalfi Coast. It was really exhausting because it was so crowded. This year, an all-inclusive vacation. We want to go to a resort where you don't have to leave the hotel. It would be great if I turned off my phone. I don't know if I can manage that."

She is not revealing their destination yet.
