Source report
Real Zaragoza kicked off preseason training this Monday under new head coach Ibai Gómez, just 50 days after the club suffered a catastrophic relegation to Primera RFEF, the third tier of Spanish football, on May 31.
The squad has been almost completely revamped, with 22 players currently available — 20 from the first team — pending the arrival of Peter Ademo (delayed by bureaucratic procedures) and Bazdar, who has extended his vacation until July 23 after finishing his season later due to World Cup commitments. At least three more signings are expected, along with several departures, notably Bazdar and Liso.
Ten of the 11 signings made by sporting director Lalo are available to Ibai, with the exception of Ademo. The first training session is open to the public, allowing fans to witness the start of the club's new project.
Returning Players
The session also marks the return of several players from loan spells:
- Adrián Liso — back from Getafe, with no departure yet arranged
- Pau Sans — returning from Cracovia (loan since January)
- Hugo Carrillo — back from Real Unión de Irún, needing preseason to convince Ibai Gómez, as does Barrachina
Squad Reinforcements Still Needed
The squad requires at least three additional reinforcements, with two center-backs and a striker as top priorities. Further arrivals may depend on potential departures.
Players Available for Monday's Session
The following 22 players will take the pitch: 20 first-team players plus goalkeeper Marcos Manolache and midfielder Diego Monzón from Aragón. Additional Aragón players such as Vadillo, Tobajas, and Jorge Franco may join later in the week.

Injury Updates
- Francho Serrano — underwent surgery on May 19 for a torn meniscus; nearly recovered and will start with the group but is expected to work individually in these first sessions
- Tachi — had knee surgery at the end of February; also almost recovered and will follow a similar modified training plan
